Poker in the Pub

Eammon O'Boyles write up:

I just want to say thanks as Susan and I had a fantastic time in Vegas.  I was on such a high after the game that I had no desire to play any poker games or gamble much.  The only other game I played was with Susan on our final night at Fitzgeralds, a $55 freezeout game with several of the other guys involved.  Susan made the final table and was placed seventh.  Like everyone else at the table I got a bad beat and went out early !!!! haha My favorite experience was going to the RIO Casino to watch the World Series of Poker.  So many professionals were there, guys you see on TV like Gus Hanson, Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negraneu, Greg Raymer etc etc.  We got so caught up name dropping that we were not paying attention to the games.  You can stand right at the table edge and watch all the action. I'm 49 and started playing Poker in the Pub after an online search for Poker in the Stirling area.  This was my first season playing and I made it all the way to second place.  ( I know that there is a sex scandal out there about Lewis and you should withdraw the title before it hits the headlines!!!!!). Someone came up with the idea of a second game while in Vegas for everyone in our party, it was too late to organise but may be something you guys could include in next years event.  We could have had 20 players at $50 a head for a $1000 table.  I'm sure that the Golden Nugget would provide a dealer. Again thanks for the trip of a lifetime.

Outstanding League Payments

We would like to give a quick reminder to venues that any venue not paid up to date will not be permitted to send players to the next regional finals.  At the last regionals we had players turn up who were under the impression that their venue had paid when they hadn't therefore the players were not allowed to play.  This is very unfair on the players so please if you have any outstanding tournament fees please phone the office and and make your payment.  Any questions please call on 01752 484253.

Crime Scene Nights

Crime Scene Nights

In last weeks newsletter we mentioned that Grosvenor Casino in Portsmouth would be doing a Crime Scene Night that evening.  We would like to apologise for publishing the wrong date, they are in fact holding the event tonight and we would like to say good luck to them and we look forward to hearing how Tracie gets on. We also have The Clubmoor Hotel doing a crime scene night this week and would like to wish them the best of luck as well.

The Manor did their first crime scene night last Thursday and they had a good turn out of 9 teams. For their first night that is a great turn out. The landlord Gary said the teams really enjoyed doing the evening.  He will be doing another one in the near future.

Please remember this product can be done inside or outside and is aimed at ANY type of venue.

Don't forget that you are entitled to a free Crime Scene Night if you are a new customer and have just signed up for Poker in the Pub or you are an existing venue and have continued playing this season. All that it will cost is the price of the evidence pack which includes:
